This week’s Etsy Bloggers theme is Carnival of Colors. Etsy’s color picker tells you to “pick a color, any color,” and offers to “find items to match.” Anyone who has used the tool knows that this isn’t always the way it works; sometimes you get an item photo that doesn’t have the color you picked anywhere in it. For my Etsy Bloggers entry, I decided to try to figure out why color picker errors happens, and what sellers can do to ensure that their items come up for the correct color.

A couple of smart sellers have put together a site that tracks sales and listing stats on Etsy.

Kristen of Etsy’s Little Brown Monkeys (adorable baby items) has created a Yahoo group to share crafty online sources (websites, suppliers, etc). New links are being added all the time, so check it out!

I am a member of Etsy Bloggers, a new Etsy.com street team. Our first writing project is to blog about the color orange. To find some orange inspiration, I searched Etsy for items tagged “orange” and discovered that orange is actually the least-made color on Etsy.
